I set up a 55 gallon tanganyika tank. Plenty of rock work and shells. Right now I have 3 black calvus that are just about an inch each and 5 leleupi at the same size. I want to know what others species can coexist and how many other species can I do. I am definitely interested in gold occellatus or multies or maybe both, but just looking for suggestions as this is my first try with Africans. Thanks

You can definitely get multies or occies for that tank, but don't expect too many of their fry to survive with those tankmates. I got 8 blue occies about a month ago, I have them in a 40b with 3 black calvus. the occies are my favorite fish to watch right now. I also have a 20g with brevis in it, but the occies are way cooler.

yeah occies are badass I had a trio and they were they funniest lil things. A living drama. they had the cutest babies. They will dominate the multies ime. They can hold there own against the calvus for now
