These eels look badass and not very much info on where to buy them is listed on the internet. I've read they are only wild caught ones. Does that mean I'de have to talk to some store that has people in Africa fishing for them? I'm in north San Diego area and not much info is provided at the local fish stores either.

my lfs has one but its like 5 inches long.and he wants alot of money for it.i believe he wants like 60 for it.if you really want it you pay shipping obviously and ill get it.i dont think thatll do well with big cichlids though

that is more expensive than the fires at mine ($40) haha, right now since I lack a job that wouldn't be possible but in the future probably november/december time I'll post again and if that store keeps them regularly Im down to buy one from you an stuff

well ther are some other African eels from Toyin a Vender here he has eel that are from the Congo and Nigeria.

I have 2 tang eels, an A. ellipsifer and A. plagiostoma. The ellipsifer is about 18" and the plagiostoma is about 10", they are both full grown I believe. I got mine online from cichlids.net.
