Can a TANGANYIKAN ZEBRA eel live fine with african cichlids? I want to get an eel for my african cichlid tank but cant seem to find one that will supposely live fine with them. Anyone know? If not, know of any that will?

There are eels from that lake but they are super pricy. My lfs has a couple wild caught and I think the cheapest is $75 and it is only 4". They will do fine with afrcian cichlids as long as they have somewhere (ie rock piles) to hide cuz these eels are mellow. They are gorgeous though, so if you have the money and get one, post pics!!!
The two I'm familiar with are M. elipsifer and M. plagiostoma. Btw redwetar666 which one are you thinking of?
Ask around and look online cuz it does take awhile to get these guys. It took close to 2 years before my lfs was able to get them. I personally like the elipsifer, my lfs has one in the display tank and it is about 12" and utterly gorgeous!
