Tank after my Weekly WC...

I woke up this morning and put the tanks lights on and OMG! It is so cloudy. I did everything like the last time only this time it is so cloudy. Any ideas why it got like this?

Could be a mini cycle. Did you clean the filter media when you did the WC?

I did change the filter pads yes

I forgot to ask, do you have bio media in the tank? If you changed the filter media and don't have bio media, the tank could be going through another cycle.

Yes there still should be some in there. If it is another cycle how will it take?

Just depends on the parameters of the tank. You might try some Seachem Stability in there. Could help re-establish the bacteria colony.

yeah I gree with phoaroh should just be a mini cycle, shouldn't talke too long. Just alternate when you clean your media next time.

For some of us, could you describe this mini-cycle a little more, I am just confused about why that has resulted in cloudy water.

My water has gotten cloudy before when my ac110 was a little dirty...when I refilled it, the crap inside rose quickly to the top and was sent into the tank when turned on.

A mini-cycle is when there is a massive die-off of beneficial bacterial in the system. As the bacterial now multiple in order to catch back up with the system, it can give the water a milky look.
