Ok im sure this is a total noob question so you will have to bear with me here as im just getting back into fish keeping and have not had any larger tanks in quite sometime.

So I just bought a new 75g aqueon all glass to go with my new black pine stand that I bought last week. Prior to now I had only had a 10 gallon and a 5 gallon running. The stand is a 75-90 gallon stand and is 48 inches long. The tank does not seem to fit into the stand rather it sits up on the lip. The stand appears to be designed so that a tank should sit inside it rather than on top of it.

Now I am sure that everything is fine the way that it is and I am just being paranoid after having purchase the first decent size aquarium I have had since I was a kid but can someone just confirm that I am in fact paranoid and its supposed to fit like this. I just am having nightmares of loading it up with rock and water and then disaster striking.

Thanks oh also please see the terrible pictures i've included for comparison. The middle pictures were trying to show the lip and cross bar but were just bad pictures and probably will not help anybody since all you can see is the reflection of the tin ceiling.

you're fine, no biggie!

if it makes you feel any better, i have a 30+ year old tank and stand that the stand fits it perfect long ways, but has about 3" of extra space on the front and back :screwy:

Thats the way its supposed to be. It's built that way. Having the tank sit on it that way actually gives the tank more support.

And when water is in it, its not going anywhere.

Looks just like my setup.

looks good to me, looks like my tank !!!!!!! ;)
