Alright. So a few days ago I went to this store, and they had a 6 gallon nano cube tank. Complete with hood, light, the back overflow box and the pump inside to flow the water back into the tank....

So, what I want to know is what could I stock in this tank? Saltwater is preferred, but that's why I posted here, because I would make it freshwater if there was a cool enough fish :D

I wouldn't mind a pair of fish, like firefish, or maybe even a colony of peppermint shrimp? It would also contain some mushrooms, zoas etc...I'm looking into some more soft corals that could grow under this light.

So, suggestions - GO! :headbang2

what kind of lighting? If saltwater a clown fish and mayb a shrimp as far as fish go, anything over 1 clown would be overstocked. I've kept a 8 gal salt tank 1 clown and corals is ALOT of work, i had a 500 gallon reef system to pull water from to do water changes. if you didnt want to do a clown you could do a shrimp and a goby. light will make or break corals

Its an 18w 50/50 compact light

And yeah, if I was going to keep clowns, I would want a pair.
Maybe do a pair of shrimp and a goby ?

I'm just trying to decide if I want to buy this tank or not..because if I don't have anything to stock it with, I don't want to waste my money...

In that size tank i would look for a pistol shrimp and matching goby. clowns would prolly fight to the death if they got big enough even a pair that tank is just to small.. Flaming prawn gobys are amazing looking i would try to find one of those and make it a one fish , tank

Alright...That sounds pretty cool. I'll look into it!

If you go fresh water, do one of those beautifully planted nanos with some cardinals.

If you go salt, check out the nano section on reefcentral or nano-reef.com.
