Hey guys I have an albino silver probably about 9-10 inches by now, currently in a 90g(temporary until I move again in a month or two) have larger tanks in my storage unit. I’m picking up 5 small peacock bass this weekend probably about 3 or so inches, I’m not going to be keeping all 5 bass but will be growing them out a bit then decide on the ones I will be keeping out of the group. What are your thoughts on putting 5 small PBass In with my albino? Don’t want to do anything to screw with this aro, his only tank mates now are a Polypterus and a gibbicepts pleco which will be going in a different tank soon. I recently lost my silver aro that was with him due to the heater getting unplugged and somebody opening the window when I was at work -_-

I've tried to keep a large mouth bass with one of my silver arowana before and once the bass became territorial it harassed the Arrow every chance it got...I don't know much about peacock bass as I have no interest in them but hopefully this helps

The peacock bass I used to have got too big for my silver and I found my silver head first in the bass mouth, he survived just fine but I had to relocate the bass, I’m just thinking that since these bass are so small compared to the aro that they should grow together with no issues, at least that’s what I’m hoping lol

What size aquarium are you going to put the Albino Aro in after the 90 gallon?

The bass are so small right now that I feel they will be harmless to the aro, but the aro has a good jump start on them growth wise so fingers crossed! Worst case scenario I’ll have to put either the 5 bass or the aro in a 125 for the time being, but on the other note, what are some proven good showcase fish that would be good with my albino aro?

What do you like besides the PBass?

I’m open to anything. I like larger colorful yet aggressive feeding fish. But my goal with this arowana is to have him be the “centerpiece” of the tank and have other fish to accent him

The PBass would personally be the only fish besides a bottom dweller . SA catfish. Would automatically rule out Redtail catfish.
