Tank Background

can anyone tell me what I can use to put new backgound film on my 135 gallon without buying that liquid they sale at LFS?

I cut a piece of triply wood the same size of the back of the tank, and stick the background to it with double sided tape, and than press it against the tank and the wall with some jublo so it will not move. Like that you will not have any sticking tape to your tank and the background will stay flat against the glass
 
they sale some kind of goop that works good but I know last time I used it I figured out it was just some kind of simple solution like dish soap and water???
 
revive but i used windex and used a card to get the bubbles out then i taped the edges and the back ground is perfect
 
I used the goop called seaview and taped edges, the works but after a week it started running up air bubbles from the bottom. I removed and went with paint; easy, and cheap.
