Hey guys, i'm Van from Bohol, Philippines and i recently had a customer order a monster tank 1m x 2m x 0.8m (LxWxH)
problems is what glass thickness would i use? will 1/2" thick be enough to hold the load, specially it has 2 holes drilled one 1" and one 2" on the middle part on the bottom and around 6inches from side pannel. please help

Most tanks that are 75cm high in the uk are made with 15mm glass, also with the length and width your talking about they come with a double base to try and stop any twisting. The base on my tank has a 10mm sheet cut to the outside dimensions and another 10mm siliconed to it cut to inside dimensions.

I think you're gonna want at least 15mm. Not sure exactly what 0.8 m is in inches but if its over 30 inches height you may even need 19mm on the long panels.

well guess im gonna cancel this order from my client, 1/2 " thick glass is all we have in every glass supplier in Bohol. better safe than sorry :) thanks
