Tank Cleaning Advice (Hard to remove Stains)

Hi all. I am working on rehabbing a 135 gallon tank that has seen it’s better days. This tank had calcium deposits on it when I bought it. I have been trying to clean these stains for some time now and am at a loss. I have tried everything that I know multiple times. Every time cleaning I would make a little progress. But the last several times I have seen little to know progress. What I have tried: vinegar, razor blades to scrap, Keepers Friend. I have tried these seperate and in conjunction with one another but progress has stalled. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will attach a picture for your reference. Thanks.

Cut a lemon in half. I have vivariums as well and that's what an old timer told me to do. Worked great. I use to use vinegar

It is a second hand tank that I purchased. As my post states it is a tank that I am working on. Also, as my post stated I have been working very hard to clean it. The tank did not get into this condition based on my care I can assure you.
But thanks for your input but I am on top of the washcloth and soft water suggestions.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will give lemons a try tomorrow and let you know if it does the trick.

Here you go. I cleaned up several used tanks like this and still use it to whipe down the inside of vivariums.

I keep big fish and little frogs.

CLR or Lysol Lime and Rust has done wonders for my calcium, lime, etc. water stains. If you use either, be sure to do a thorough rinse afterwards.

Naturally, I'd tried less dangerous products like vinegar first.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have been trying vinegar but it is just not working. If lemons or lemon juice don’t work I may end up using a CLR type product. I am saving that as a last resort. Thanks

Okay. I tried the lemon but it didn’t seem to have any effect. My question is how quickly should it work? Should I give more more contact time or is it a rub on and off process. My next step will be to try a cleaner such as CLR but I would like to avoid that if possible. What do you think guys? Thanks.
