Hey, I was on my local craigstlist and I saw a nice tank, it said it was 150 gallons and he said maybe 5ft by 3 ft wide. The only problem is there's a crack on the one side of it. Is there any way I can fix it? He only wants 50 and I can probably talk him down some. Ill post pics as soon as I get them

Yeah, unless you are planning on rebuilding the tank, I would pass on this.

I've been running a 220 with a cracked side panel for a couple years with no issues. Crack runs from the back down in an arc to the bottom, about 15" long. The cracked panel is sandwiched between two other pieces of glass that are siliconed in place. Got it for free.

I have replaced a cracked bottom with a new sheet and it was a *****. Worked though.

I agree with Modestman, and fix tanks that way, using GE silicone 1 window and door.
I just fixed a 120 with a crack on the back, and a side. Fixed it using panels on the outside and another on the inside, I also put silicone on the crack.
It was easy, and has been up and running at least 6 months.

Also fixed this 6 ft tank with a slightly cracked bottom, a few weeks ago in the same manner.

pic below of the same bottom cracked tank from last week
