Tank cut down

I have a 8'x4'x3' that i got cheap but its bigger than i want. Is it possible to cut it down to the size i want and glue it back together? What kind of glue/weld should i use? Thanks

Is this an Acrylic tank or a Glass tank? in either case it is possible unless it's a glass tank that has Tempered glass (Safe bet that at that size it is tempered)

If it's to big for you ... you can always store it in my garage I'd be happy to use it for you... errrr I mean "store" it for you

A steady hand with a good saw (High speed blade)and some acrylic weld will get the job done

Since u got it cheap i would bring to an acrylic fabricator and have them do it. Not an easy DIY job unless you've worked with acrylic before i think. You might end up with no tank!!

Very true. If you don't have a router table and think that a saw will do the same job, you are in for a huge surprise.

really --table saw won't cut acrylic straight enough?

Why not sell it then buy the tank you want plus some fish with the profit.
