My tank is staying at amonia 0, nitrite .25 and nitrate 10, I still cant add fish?

Did you do a fishless cycle? Give us a little more info about the tank.

huh? is this the same tank you were talking about in this thread?

YOUR TANK IS NOT CYCLED. you never had a source of ammonia, how do you expect to grow the bacteria in your filters? having running water alone is not gonna do anything, even if you had 2 small fish that died a while ago. i suggest you go back and read what i wrote in your thread

Just a little FYI: If you want more responses to a thread just "bump" it to get some more answers. No need to start a new thread with the same question.

Yes, my tank IS cycled, it has gone throug all of the signs for it to be cycled, fish, food, cloudy water, sick fish from bad water conditions, dirty filter and clearer water to very clear water. It just wont remove the very last trace of nitrite, it is still at .25

^^ and there it is.

He didn't say his pH was 10, that was his nitrate.

pH of 10 would be milk of magnesia!

your tank is not done cycle .....when is done ammonia and nitrite should be at 0 ppm but nitrate will be high. i been cycle my 210 ,stepping in week 4 now ammonia 1ppm nitrite 25ppm nitrate 50ppm ( over 50 for sure) let it cycle more. go to ace hardware and get the bottom of pure ammonia and put some in there let in run and wait....:headbang2
