Well this week has went from downhill to off the frickin cliff. I walked into my store this morning and found my new Pacu floating, and my redtail looking rough. Both filters not working, so I get to cleaning and find a dead minnow in each. Seems the minnows went up the tubes and locked up the filters. Clean the tank, fix the water remove dead fish, all looks great red tail looking better, go back an hour later and he on his side. 30 min later of working his gills and checking water levels and he's done. Now I've got to find a new one. I raised this one from a baby. I'll have pics up later.

so sorry ... this RTC was a beauty...and sorry about the pacu...my favorite fish of all..

I know how ridiculous this sounds - but I still mourn fish that died years ago. It's just the type of person I am. A death of a lower being that I was in charge of (their meals, their housing, their health and welfare), whether a fish or mammal really affects me sometimes (not always - just certain ones). People think I'm a little too sensitive. I am just empathic and I think those people (the ones who think I'm too sensitive) are really selfish and ignorant. (And really don't have lots of smarts in the brain department.) Glad to see the pictures of your fish. Other fish are always looking for a good home.:)

Another reason feeders should not be fed.

But yeah, I'm sorry about your fish, that would suck.
