Firstly i'm new to this site so Hi everyone. Now for my first question which im sure will be the first of many. I have recently cut down a large ivy which was overgrown this ivy had some great looking quite thick twisted branches. I'm wondererind would these be safe to place in my aquarium which houses 3 red bellied piranha. Many thanks in advance.

Do you have any idea what kind of Ivy? If you don't and can't ID on your own, I would suggest taking it to a local nursery and having them ID it. Some Ivy's can be very toxic.

thanks for the reply. no to be honest i dont know what type of ivy it is. thought it was just the bog standard one growing over my house right up and over the roof. if some are toxic i'll probally not to take the risk just for the sake of saving a few pounds... just thought it would look good thats all but to be honest i could probably buy some bog wood that looked just as good
