If you are using decorations with holes in them plug the holes(see picture) or sooner or later someone will swim in but not out again .
Plug them with gravel or filter floss just a heads up form me to you-Anne

Great tip! I had the very same decoration, and I used to plug it with plastic plants, but it would get lots of debris in it so I had to rinse it out very good every week.

Probably would've been cleaner to use floss instead.
