I've been working of various designs for a long time and this is my latest attempt. This is a plywood tank that I want to be able to fit out the door - and therefore must be no taller than 30".
The side support is massive overkill for a 4' x 8' tank, but this design is meant to be suitable for a 16' x 4' x 3', if not even 16' x 8' x 3' tank. The plan is to create this tank, for the experience, so that my 16' tank isn't a total disaster...
Maybe one day I'll make something like this, but I want to prepare for the big tank right now. He doesn't give all the details, but it doesn't look like there is much side support, other than the plywood itself. I guess I'm wondering why you would need any more than this, for any length, give the hydrostatic paradox. VLDesign seems to be MUCH more concerned about it, however.
Anyways, thanks in advance to all who leave feedback!
