Tank Dimensions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I prefer the 5X2X2, and for almost all dats and most species of bichirs the width is good, but depending on what kind of gar you might need the extra width. Either way if you're gonna be stocking more than one of each species you're probably going need a bigger tank in order to cope with the bioload.

I've been shopping for a used tank (mine needs to be retired) and came across a nice looking 54 gallon corner acquarium with these dimension 38" long x 51" high x 28" wide. My question is do you all think this is inadequate for surface area for my 3 goldfish. Should I keep looking? I want to keep my fish happy.

Thanks for your input.
