Okay, here is the thing

I have:
8" Endli
10" Senegal
3" Delhezi

I was thinking to add the delhezi to the 55gal since the tank is healthier than the 20gal he is in right now....However, I'm certain that either my Sen or Endli will eat him if they are together...Will a tank divider work until my Del gets to be about 6"?

Doubtful it would work, unless the divider went all the way to the lid with no gaps. Remember, they're air breathers and escape artists. Not to mention very strong.

what are the dimensions on the 20g, if its a long then i would think it would be better/easier to just divide the 20 giving the 3in del like 10in and giving the other fish 20in of tank length

i wouldnt be worried about the senegal, i would worry about the endli =)

I've used dividers with bichirs many times and had no problems, but these have always been my sturdy DIY dividers. I've never tried any commercially available ones so, I wouldn't know if they're trustworthy or not.

Most recently, I've had my 150 divided since early August and the divider is plenty sturdy enough to keep my ~12" ornate from crossing it. I've also used the same style of divider to keep ~2" sens in a section, and when set up properly even small bichirs like those can't get past it.

Experience trumps theory every time, lol. Andyjs seems to have pretty much covered it. I'm guessing that his DIY dividers went to the lid?

its a 20gal High, and I had to add my 2xABF back into it since my endli Deathrolled one of their wings off :WHOA:. And both my Sen & Endli are eating Silversides the same size as the Del. So IDK has anyone used the generic non-DIY ones
