i went to home depot today looking for egg crate. i couldn't find and the people there had no idea what i was talking about. i was wondering if someone here could help me out and let me know where i can get some locally! thank you!

They are also known as a "light diffuser" try and asked them for one of those.

I got mine at lowes, but it was back with the ceiling tile/insulation/etc. I've heard people have found it near the shoplights or ceiling fluorescents as well. So I'd say check out the lighting section (as mentioned, they're light diffusers) and if its not there look for the section with ceiling tile (was in the back corner of my store) and check there.

Also, bring in a picture if you can't get anybody to figure out what you're talking about...

Try your local conveinience store nearby and ask them for a empty bread tray,it worked for me....
