Hello all I know I was gunna post my tank forever ago but I got caught up with work and got super busy my tank is kinda bare right now I’ve been waiting on my dragon blood , red top Lwanda and neon blue undu reef peacocks they came as baby baby’s which I totally miss read when I ordered them but hey I got a reason to get another tank lol so anyways they are growing up in a 30 gallon tank by themselves. Just wanted to show you guys what it looks like I do have one question it’s been bugging me because normally I know what to do but this fish has totally took it the extra mile . It’s hard to see them cause they blend it so well but they are two blue sulfur head peacocks both of them have acted this way since I got them they have been super super picky about food they have not eaten one pellet since I got them the only thing they will eat is frozen emerald **** cubes which I never buy but I was buying all kinds of different food to try to get them to eat. So after I found out that they will actually eat and didn’t have a parasite (which they might still I’m not a expert but ) I starved them for almost a week and they were literally chasing after anything that hit the water so I knew that they had to be ready threw the pellets in they took it spit it right back out couldn’t believe it so I did it again and here we are they still won’t eat pellets these fish haven’t eaten anything and they are still acting fine the only reason I don’t want to feed them this frozen stuff is that as you all know it’s horrible it goes all over the tank esp with my water flow and into the filter and it’s just terrible idk what to do anyone have any suggestions?

Its hard to transition fish who have never eaten pellets to pellets. Fish often prefer what they have been eating since being fry. Your best bet is to ask the breeder what he was feeding the fish and see if that is a possibility to feed them.
My discus refused pellets and will only eat beef heart (luckily I planned to feed them that anyways), though now over time a few of them will eat pellets but still very unenthusiastically.

Otherwise you will have to be cruel and starve them until they are desperate and are forced to eat the pellets and eventually grow accustomed to its taste. Fish can go a week to 15 days without food.

As for the mess and worry that the food will clog your filter. Turn off your filter when you are feeding them and restart it after they have finished eating. It is what I do when feeding my fish.

Okay that makes sense I’ll have to get ahold of them it was a convention I got them at where a bunch of breeders had tables set up so might be hard but I’ll try thanks for the info
