what would be a decent size tank for a 9inch spinosus L160 because mine is starting to attack my clown loach's. Ive had trouble with her before and have had to get rid of a hystrix and panaque. The thing is i really like it and dont want to take it to the shop

well, i personally would have kept the hystrix and panaque, think is, yours is pretty much fully grown at 9", and so will get very territorial to bottom feeders and nocturnal fish. Best thing to keep with them is fish around the same size that won't attack the pleco. your gunna be hard pushed to find a bottom fish that will go with it. planetcatfish recommends that barbs do very well with these fish, but i dont like the little fin nippers. could try gouramis or somethin along those lines, its up to you. what size tank is it in now?

the tank is 4x2x2
fish in it are
1 spinosis
6 clown loach
2 severum's
1 whale catfish
12 buenos aires tetra

just the clown loach get attacked and thats only because they go in her cave and torment her(ok they dont really mean to torment her it just looks like it if you watch)

how much was your whale catfish, was it Cetopsis coecutiens. i just been looking at them theyre really cool, this pic of one makes them look bigger than they get, but still 10-12". Anythin you can tell me about yours?

yep that it and it was £30
really nice fish
eats from 3 to 5 cockles a day, I hold them just on the surface with my thumb and fore finger while knocking the loaches and the severums with the 3 unused fingers
(its never drew blood when its bitten me )
it mainly swims in the top corner then about every 5 mins goes on a dash round the tank
they also might sometimes go kind of insane for a while doing summersaults really really fast and swim round tank bumping into stuff, its quite scary and not nice to watch. I have been told its something to do with pressure in the brain causing it , though dont take my word for it as the bloke who told me could be wrong
in a nut shell its a quality fish and great fun to feed
