So I traded some cichlids for a 75 gallon tank. It's an all-glass, but I'm worried because the plastic frame (top and bottom) is broken in multiple places. The lady says it wasn't like that before she put it out in the cold last night.

Anyways, is the tank useable? What would you guys do? Get a new frame and silicone it on? I don't know, I'm frustrated because I wanted so bad to move everything into it in the next few days

The ideal would be to replace the broken frame with a new one and silicone it in.

In all honesty, I would probably superglue the frame parts together and fill it up. But I'm way less cautious than most people :p

Go to your lfs and pickup or order new frames they're cheap.

Problem is I don't have a lfs here that can order them. All we have is Petco and Petsmart. Any suggestions on a website to order from? All Glass doesn't sell them themselves I don't think.

Contact all glass to see who is a registered distributor/retailer in your area.

Tank frames are hard to find on the net. As you have found they crack if left in the cold(lost a brand new frame I left in the garage over night when it was -10) and are a some what large and fragile item for UPS to handle. Thus they make poor items to ship. Glass cages does sell theirs online, how ever I have found their measurements to be some what rounded off, IE they don't fit other manufactures tanks too often.
