so I just recently moved my fishies to my apartment 10 mins from my old place. The only tank that went in to a re-cycle was my 55. To move it I drained 10 gal into a bucket. Put all the decor into another bucket and covered it with water, and put all the gravel into another bucket and covered it with gravel - to ensure the bacteria would survive. Apparently it didn't.... so I tested my water 2 days ago because I noticed the fish were hiding and acting strange and not wanting to eat. The ammonia had spiked to .5 ppm!!!!! I did a 50% water change and added twice the normal dose of Prime to help detoxify it... Now I have it under control to 0 ppm now but the fish are still acting strange. I do need to go test the NO2 and NO3, but is there anything I can do to help my fish since they seem to have been poisoned?

Keep an eye on the water params and do a 25-30% change in a few days. Give the fish a chance to get acquainted with the new digs and all should be fine. Just don't feed them for a few days as well, while you get your water under control.
