So I was just observing my poly tank as usual on a saturday and i noticed these little clear/white worm like things crawling on the glass. I don't know what they are. I think maybe they came in when i got some plants from the Lfs. I really don't want these worm things to harm my polys and i want to know how to get them out. Thanks for the help Dr.B

pics? they were probablily from the new plants.

i'll try and get some pics as soon as possible. They are staying toward the top of the tank near the waterline. They swim in a spiral type motion and are like .25 to .5 inches long.

i've been searching the web and it looks like nematodes

i had the same problem in my 20g... best thing to do is to ump the temperature and add salt.

yeah now that i look i have 'em in both my 75 and my 20 what do i up it to? and how much salt do i add?

are they actually swimming or just crawling around on the glass? could it be planaria?

x2 Possibly planaria

i doubt it is, especially if it's clear/white. to the OG post, again bump the temperature, and add salt equal to what the description says per gallon(s).

also, if you have access to it, get prazi-pro. that really helps! haha
