tank idea but help needed

hey every one I'm very new at tank building.. (duh) no I don't have tank building for dummies though if i could get a loan of it i would .. ok the plan i have is to build a tank about 6 ft by 2 ft by 2ft or there abouts ok tank construction basically i would like to keep my costs down by using marine plywood for the back and sides and would like to use Perspex for the front can anyone help me out with old plans or a shopping list for it hell I'm not even sure how to support the corner joins

oh I want this for a feuture cichlid tank :nilly:
 
Buy a 125 or 180. At that size it's cheaper to buy it. The cost doesn't work out unless you're talking about very large tanks and there is a huge amount of work involved in building one. If you are really set on it, go to the DIY forum and check out some builds. People have described how they built theirs in great detail with many photos. You will notice most people have pretty decent equipment and workshops available.
 
thanks Dude it's a cool idea for a tank i can buy a 200 leter from the pet store here but basically
i'll be looking at either $ 480 for just the tank at the cheapest and that's a 5 ft tank then I'll have to get a base made. Anything i need i have to get from the local pet store we have 2 and they are not cheap most of the fish or other stock comes via Perth and Costs a fair packet
