Tank ideas - totally drained feel like giving up :(

Hi after a tank I was buying cracked Im left stuck with the one I have at present which means rehoming a lot of stuff and keeping a small number of fish I have :/

So I will be left with

1 Female Nicaraguan
8 Annostomus Ternetzi (though I may cut this number)
2 Sturisoma Aurem (whiptail catfish)

I am contemplating keeping my pair of Heros Severus (true mouth brooders) as well, they have not spawned yet but are showing possible signs to no ill effects to the other fish.

The tank is 65 gallon (I know not exactly monster :/) and is powered by a Fluval FX5 with religious water changes. I would consider my self quite knowledgeable with fish and SA/CA cichlids but realise there are people here with more knowlegdge.

So the question is - what would you do with a 65 gallon tank centered around a female nicaraguan - either with the severums or without I am also interested in Cupid Cichlids and/or Krobia.

Any stock lists people can throw my way would be appreciated.

I'd go along the lines of some geos with that small of a tank, get some sand with a few pieces of wood and it up like that maybe even a dwarf pike or two.

4 Krobia sp. Rio Xingu
5 Annostomus Ternetzi
2 Sturisoma Aurem

and then a school of something like some kind of large pencil fish.

sounds like alot of fish in that tank for me the severums have the potential to grow to 12" each

These are Heros Seveus - Male is sp. Atabapo andthe female is sp. Temi they are both around 3 years old and are around 6 inches and they are the true mouthbrooding Heros Severus not the Heros Efasticious your thinking of that will get to 12 inches (though more likley 9/10 inches)
