Decided i didnt have time to care for previous incarnation, so after a few tough hours and lots of mess and spills we came to the second pic. Then a pic of its ticking over period inhabitant.

no opinions?

Is there anything i should in way of decor, dont want it too cluttered though as this was for easier cleaning

Im thinking of growing out a parachromis or maybe a pair. They are either freddies or loisellei, havent got pics. I also wanted to try putting a juvie channa bleheri with the parachromis if i dont do a pair. Was thinking a cave for the snakehead too small for the para so he can hide if needs be.

but open to suggestions really set on a grow out of parachromis as i like the personality, like the rhom that just left. He though would only come out front and glass chase my dogs not me was so funny he really hated them

I feel its missing something? Dont say fish, thats not coming till new year. Want to make sure everything is perfect.

Maybe it's perfect as-is :)

Seriously, though, looks good to me. I like the dark substrate and low light. I think the optimal decor is going to depend on what you plan to stock, though.

One thing I might say is, maybe move the center piece to the back, add a few more tall plants, and then add some shorter plants to the front and sides to give it more depth...?

Thanks joel, the centre piece actually is touching the back gives 10inches of open water at the front. On plants i would but as im thinking parachromis digging maybe a problem. I gave enough gravel for sifting through but not too much to keep clean as this was the major time constraint i had with the previous incarnation.

should i put in another cave
