Tank info

THIS IS ONLY MY GUESS: Based on the look of the giant gourami having no hump but pointed fins that it is a male, the farther side is no wider than 18". The GG will not develop the hump until it is more than 9" in length. The nearer side is about <24" wide since it bulges as the back glass slants WITH the wall. Near the lower third of the tank (nearer the GG), the tank narrows to about a foot in width. This tank should be around 16" to 18" in depth. I based this on the jaw line of the arowana. There is this definite look to very old arowanas past 3' (tapered tail). They have an average 1/6 depth to length ratio. You can confirm that also by the ruins ornament which has a dimension of 16"x11"x11". The arowana should be close to 6" in height while the decoration is 11" height. That gives the probable water volume between 270-330 gallons which the seller approximated. I'd say it is lower than 300 gallons, water volume only.

That tank is good for fish that are no bigger than 15-17 inch fish. You ould have a ton of mid sized fish in that tank. a 8 ft 300 gallon gives you more options on big fish. That tank gives you more options and more mid sized fish. If I had to chose between an 8 ft 300 gallon and that I would choose the 8 footer.

that tank is probibly about 18 inches in depth.
