I moved my tank into my apartment and when it was all emptied it was not level. So I ended up shiming it up and having it level. The tank is filled and fish are in. Now the tank is not levelled the side I added the shims to needs to go Down. The water is about a inch unlevel. What can I do with out draining the whole tank and going through all that and is it that big of a deal. My understanding is now all the weight will be pushing on the one side and I can't afford a leak in my apartment. On a funny note my brother was over and told me I should just add more water to the other side to even it out haha

When I set my 150 up I had the same problem I ended up emptying it and shimming it again. More then likely you not gonna get it perfect but if I was you I'd empty it and try again because an inch is quit a bit. Mines about a 1/4 off. If you do decide to empty it to fix it, once you get some water back in there and you can see the water line check it and see if its level enough so you don't have to empty it again.

Yes, you will have to empty the tank and relevel it.

erk is on the right track. When you refill it, just put in about an inch of water and measure it. That way you know whether you are off or not without having to completely drain the tank.

I suggest more than half I don't know how big yyour tank is but water is quite heavy about 8lbs per gallon and once you move the tank ei pick up one side all the water will shift causing uneven disperse of weight putting a lot of pressure on the one side and with it creating a wave that's going back and forth will make it hard to hold. I just moved around my 70g and attempted with half it made it was difficult so I drained even more.

I need to spark up my fish life

Don't try and cheat, you'll end up regretting it. Just take the time and drain it, then level it correctly and then fill it back up.

Do you have a 36" or larger bubble level? I do not level it just by judging if the water is even, I use a level an make sure the front to back and the side to side are perfect. That cube of water is going to be there a long time, might as well do it correct the first time so you don't have headaches later on....

I had a hell of a time levelling my tank. I think i shimmed amd reshimmed over about a week to get it right. Filling 1/2 and then drain to shim.

Also, if your tank is empty i suggest levelling with the level on the bottom pane of glass as the rim may be slightly distorted.
