sooooo FINALLY was able to move my 5ft 120g tank from my parents house to my new place, still has some africans in it from the previous stocklist but they will eventually be rehomed (i dont do anything to buffer water and theyr petstore kind so do well in water i keep all my fish in) i set it up sunday night and so far so good it appears as though the beneficial bacteria in the filter survived the move but im keeping a close eye on it. also tonight i got the first south american residents of the tank 2 green terrors!
only plan on keeping one male so hopefully one turns out to be male, does anyone have pics of their males as babies (1.5-2in) one of them has a completely red tail with faint white edging is this normal, theyr too quick right now to take pics so just wanted to see what your guys pointers were in sexing them and at what size it could be done visually. ok well enough talk here are some FTS its still a bit cloudy from the new sand but i rinsed it well enough that there really was only minimal clouding

and at what size will the males start to get trailers im trying to get pics but i have sucky tank lighting and unless i use flash they come out under exposed but if i use flash then it totally washes out their colors...
(they have faint black line on their cheeks is this because they are female or is this juvi coloring) one of them their entire tail is red instead of just the end so its kind of weird, i guess ill try again today to get some decent pics that dont wash out their colors
