Tank landscape ideas?

OK so im getting the 100g tank set up for the jag and was looking for some input on what to put in their. Going with a sand substrate and some hiding spots should i put some real plants in their? All my other cichlids just destroy them.

Driftwood is nice. Maybe a large flat rock.

I think most CA cichlids will destroy plants.terra cotta pot,pvc,wood,slate rocks,big round river rocks

River rocks, driftwood and amazon swords. My 240 is full of aggressive CA Cichlids and the only plant to survive them are the swords.
