i really hate to be posting in this section as it means something went wrong but alas something did go wrong here it goes

i looked at the back of my 150 gallon tank today and the back of the stand is rather soggy and there is a bit of water sitting on the edge of the trim (at the bottom) at first i thought maybe its just condensation so i wiped it away and came back in 5 minutes and geuss what ? its back

so now ill spend the next week or 2 draining the tank and resealing (that is if i dont decide to quit fish keeping altogether) i still dont understand how this eludid me for 3 months :irked:

so lesson learned ALWAYS CHECK EXTREMELY THOUGHLY EVERYWHERE ON YOUR TANK FOR LEAKS AS SOON AS YOU SET IT UP

Sorry to hear that:( Are you sure it's not a filter or something leaking?

Good luck.

LOL your all guna laugh at this !

its not leaking (well sorta)

apparently the trim isnt on very well against the top so the reason i didnt notice the leaking until now is because recently i rose the water level in the tank (i have a sump) and this was causing the water to run down the back of the tank and down on to the stand my dad also told me that it was "pissing preety good" the other day which explains the stand being wet. to check i dropped the water level a bit (lowered my DIY overflow intake) and wiped up the water came back in 5 minutes NO WATER yay

lol i feel so stupid

so NEW lesson learned make sure your leak is actualy a genuine leak before posting on monsterfishkeepers about it and embarassing yourself

lol justpgraham this reminds me of your sig
Better to keep your mouth shut and apear stupid than open it and remove all doubt

it happend to me on my 110 tank thankgod it was only on till half so it stopped and gave me time to fix it

ooo and also check the furniture its sitting on if its not good wood it will rot like mine did now i had to completly change it

LOL two lessons in one... J/K. I'm glad your tank isn't broken... that crazy talk about getting out of the hobby was scary... you can't let yourself go to that place again, okay? ;)

lol i promise i wont :)

it was just that everything imaginable that couldve went wrong did go wrong with this tank lol it took 3 months cycling (i figure there was something in the water becuase when i started doing water changes it started cycling) and i flooded my basement ........ twice and i nearly killed all my fish by doing a water change with no prime (as you can see most of those were my fault) LOL

lol 2 lessons in 1 thats exactly what i was thinking as i typed up my second post in this thread lol

lol 2 lessons in 1 this thread is definatly sticky material lol j/k
