Hey guys I need you opinion on what lights looks better, I cant decide which one I'll use because I like them both.

1st light is a submersible Atman 15000k pink lights. This light is for a 4ft tank

heres another vid of the 1st light as requested by nemesis, a closeup.

2nd light is a dual bulb non-submersible fluorescent lights. for a 4ft tank also

which will you pick? I can get a suitable 6ft light either from the two. Btw those two lights are from my old tank

PS: it took me not more than 10 tims trying to post this. I changed the topic title then it posted. Original title was supposed to be "big tank lighting suggestion". MODS might want to check on this.

Should have made it a poll. Anyways, I like number 2. Try doing a close up of number 1, and I might change my mind.

Now its a poll. Thanks to Neo for the help!

please vote now. and please give me your reason why you pick one over the other. many thanks!

Absolutely no contest the Atman 15000k. The 2nd light looks far too bright for the polypterus and makes the tank look sterile and the wood looks dull. With the 1st light the wood gets a nice shine and looks great. It also brings the PB's colours out and its generally much nicer!

Thanks for the reply. Makes me wat to take another look at the tank with the 15000k light.

anybody else?:)

I like second light cuz it's easier to maintain. No need to crawl underneath the stand to mount the lights. Use 10,000K bulbs to bring out the best colors in fish. Can I suggest a 3rd options? Used two LED projector lights. It will create the sunset or morning lighting look on the tank.

your suggestion is very much welcome. I may have to look into that, I have no idea.

by the way, I dont need to crawl underneath the stand to mount the lights..I have it suction cupped underneath the two top glass bracings inside the tank

10000k is better than 15000k?
