I have a betta in a 1.5 litre tank/vase/thing that my mum wanted, well I know she may slack on cleaning cause its her fish so is there a shrimpy companion that could clean waste or left overs?
water conditions in that vase will kill any kinda shrimp. i presume there aren't any plants in there, so i would get some java moss in there. makes the water a little bit better and makes it easier to clean (remove moss, rinse, replace)
Is it one of those gimmick vase that says the betta will eat off the roots of the plants? Cuz if it is...then you must feed the fish. Bettas are not herbivores and so they need to be fed fish food. As for the shrimp question...I had a 2.5g tank that I kept a betta in with a few ghost shrimps in it. The shrimps won't eat fish waste, but will eat any food left over by the Betta. I had it for 3 months (internship away from home). They all did fine.
