tank mate for bgk

I was told a small poly would be a good tank mate for a a bgk in a 55.
any suggestions? I know a small sen would be good but i want something with better color.

ps: this is not permanate i plan on upgrading but not for a while

a lot of the palmas spp. have more color

dels have a good color to them

ornates look really cool, but get big and may outgrow a 55 pretty rapidly.

thats what i was thinking, i want a poly but i dont want a sen they are pretty boring looking and way to common.

Yes they are common, but also they are the most active Bichir.

However with the above, if it is colour you want you would probably be better off with a delz or Ornate.

Also, I've got 3 Sens, an Ornate and a Delhz(all about 9'') in the 75 that my baby BGK,will go in with, once he is big enough to join them. Right now he is in a 15G and only maybe almost 3 inches.

I wouldn't suggest an ornate. Delhezi probably, oh yeah a couple of ropefish looks cool too.

also, if you want a less "boring" sen, you could look for an albino, long finned, or hell even a platinum.

My Setup is one that seem to work well
1 Ropefish-10"
1 Delhezi- 4.5"
1 Senegal- 9"
1 BGK- 7"

Aren't Ornates good with BGK's?
