I have a tank with an african brown knifefish and a senegal bichir. They get along pretty well. They are currently in a 55g tank..which I will probably get them a bigger one in the future. I was wondering what else could I add?
Suggestions, greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

ctenopoma useually work they can be some what aggressive how ever it may pick on your ABK if its bigger

african butterfly fish (good top water fish )
less aggressive cichlids
other polypterus
catfish
can't think of many others right now

Thank you guys! You know I was thinking about that kind of fish, didn't know what it was called. Saw one at my lfs but they didn't have a label for the fish. And now I know the name...thank you :)

Pretty much anything that is too big to be eaten and is not aggressive. Even though bichirs have that "killer" look and will gladly gobble down a smaller fish, they really are not aggressive and should not be kept with other fish that are aggressive towards them.

I am keeping mine in a 55g with a green terror cichlid and they seems to get along
