Tank mate idea...

Since I have been reading around, I found out that Jars are one of the meanest fish we have in this site. I also know that alot of people in here hesitates about owning a jar because of having 1 fish in a big tank. Well, today, I just read about the RTC. As a previous RTC owner myself, I know that the darn things are also fairly agressive. Now, how about mixing both? Anyone tried it and had any results?

One fish will be top water trolling (Jar) and the latter will be bumbling 'round the bottom....i'd say go for it,aside from the obvious things with keeping preds...........same size!!!!!Or no mouth sized ones!

should be fine considering you have like a 1000 gallon tank for that RTC so i would add like 3 jars

Its better than having 1 jar or 1 rtc in 1 tank

I would really want to see this combo tho. I also seen RTC's eat silvers that is why i had to return my to the LFS long time ago.

You should put them in the same tank and seperate them with a divider that they can see each other through.
