I got back into the hobby a year ago and made newbie mistakes, overstocked etc. Well I'm piecing together everything for my 75g system to combine everyone..this is the current stock..

2 Syn. Eurupterous(sp) one 5" another 7-7.5"
1 Angelfish (body is about 3" tall not counting fins)
1 Rainbow Shark 4.5-5"
1 Satanoperca Luecastisca(sp) 3-4"

I had an S. Jurupari but it died to an ammonia accident, it's replacement, a Geo. Red Head that I did not quarantine(will have a proper Qt tank after my 75 is up), died and killed with it my biggest angel and a farlowella from a bacterial outbreak, so I've got some room open.

I was considering another Geo., such as Altifron or another Red Head. Or even a BGK but fear it would eventually eat my rainbow or angel, what do you guys think? Also maybe a smaller pleco with it.

Any cool suggestions? I have a fetish for earth eaters or oddballs that can fit a 75g and hopefully co-exist with my current guys.

Even at full size a BGK would leave the angel and rainbow alone? Neither seem to be growing at all in the last several months so I doubt they will get any bigger.

I have seen several reports of BGK reaching 12" in just under 18 months. Not slow growers at all. Also, unless your BGK had a mouth at LEAST 3" (Which would make the knife about 3ft long) it could not possibly swallow the angel.

Cool, just wasn't sure if they would only swallow what can fit in the mouth or if they would nibble/bite smaller fish.

As for the Geo's, I have a S. Leucasticta(sp?), but if I were to decide on another earth eater, I would really prefer a Geo. Altifron or a Red Head Tapajo. If I were to go with one of those, would a pair be to much for a 75g? That would be 3 8-12" fish not counting the largest Syno, so I think it could be pushing it.

Aggression concerns me about mixing 2 different species of earth eaters but I was told previously that in a 75g there would be plenty of territory.

Also open to any other ideas and options if anyone is bored!
