Tank mate with my BD Ray?

So I got gifted this striped pike chacarin from a friend, he's relatively small so he could possibly be lunch, but my main concern is would he try and pick the rays eyes? Anyone ever kept one with a ray before?

That's what I figured, I figured he'd stray away from where the ray is, but I don't want my ray to lose an eye lol

So far it has been good, the pike was definitely terrified for a bit, but now he's back and swimming around the top as usual lol, may add an african black knife at some point
