Tank mate

I got a 12" jard and iwant to add one or two cichlids into his tank which will get big he is an 180g at the moment any good ideas. or other tank mate ideas.

Jars are mean fish, will probly kill anything you put in with it.

There mean but I don't think a Jar could take an Umbee or even a Red Devil for that matter.

It can work sometimes but be prepared for the worst as most seem to experience. I had this guy in with some of my cichlids until he was 18". I sold him to another person since this footage. The offer was to good to refuse. I guess they really wanted a tank mate tolerant Jardini badly. My advice is to start the Jar off with already large cichlids that are tank mate tolerant them selves to have some chance of success.

since he's already 12" chances are he'll be aggressive to most things put in the tank. you could try a large cichlid or maybe a bichir
