Alright,
Preparing for the 110g setup, and the primary occupant is going to be a snowflake eel. What are some solid recommendations for tank mates? Basically I've read that it will be fine with anything too big to swallow, are there any thoughts or comments on that? I would also like to be able to house corals and inverts, will that be an issue?

the inverts might

he'll any shrimp and crabs in the tank
but things like hemits, snail, urchins, and starfish should be A-OK

fish like lionfish (also not crab and shrimp safe)
fusiliers
larger anthias
basses (shrimp and crab)
squirrelfish (same)
hogfish (same but add snails and hermits)
snapper (shrimp and crab)

alot of things

it really is anything too big to eat
6+ inches

I'd be careful with corals as well. As the snowflake gets bigger, he could knock down some of your rockwork which may include your corals. Eels are very strong fish.

The above post is correct, eels will east shrimp and crabs. The list of tanksmates for a snowflake eel is long. No clownfish, no damsels, no cardinals, no gobies and nothing else too small. Also, no groupers as they may look to eat the eel. But you can go with tangs, large angels, rabbitfish, triggers, butterfly, anthias, squirrelfish, etc....

So realistically I'm looking at either permanently setting the LR together, or doing corals in the frag tank? And the good rule of thumb for the snowflake will be to make sure that the tank mates are bigger than him. I'll do some more research and post a list of fish I am interested in and hopefully get more feedback.

from what ive been told u need to find fish around two to three times the size of the eels mouth or it may decide to have a nibble. and yeah eels like to knock stuff over so corals could be a pain to keep around an eel.

Okay, how about this for the FOWLR roster?
Snowflake Eel
Convict Tang
Powder Brown Tang
One Spot Foxface
Copperband Butterflyfish
Singapore Angelfish

The tank is a 60 inch long 110g. All of those fish get up to 7 inches. Should I add more, or take some out? Clean up crews would have to be hermit crabs and sea stars? Comments and constructive criticism welcome.

That would be a nice setup, and I see no reason why you couldn't add another fish or two. You have chosen some nice colored fish.

Clean up crews are not as necessary in FOWLR tank as they are in a reef tank IMO.
