tank mates for aggresive south american tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The cat will eat most fish when fully grown i would maybe try an arowana if you have the tank space but make sure the aro is atleast 10". If not an Oscar larger than the cat anything robust and larger than the cat and grows quick.

when my catfish is that big i will most likely sell him but i have decided i will most likely get two red tail payara 5-7"and a red tailed barracuda the same size i will also soon be getting a 300 gallon for the other fish soon when that happens the redtail cat will most likely stay in the 85 gallon until i figure out what to do with him if he does grow much more than 8" i dont think he will tho becuase i only feed him every other day to keep his growth down so he doesnt eat the other fish.

why not try to get rid of it now instead of wondering what to do later what it inevitably gets bigger or eats a fish

I would try a Silver Arowana or a gar if you have a big enough tank!

There nothing that can beat a rtc growth rate.I would go with a pacu they grow pretty quick.
