Tank mates for an oscar in 90g

My 6in oscar needs a friend in an 90g grow out. Got any suggestions?

I was thinking either another oscar, firemouth or a geophagus.

its kind of hard to just go out and get an O a mate since you really cant tell their gender until they are already mating but you could get another O friend and see wether they like each other or fight, you say its a grow out tank what is the tank they will eventually be going into? i think some kind of eartheater would be good i really like the red head tapajos but my tank is to aggressive to have one of my own

Grow out as in they are in a 90 and will probably get a larger tank in the future.

Not really a fan of convicts. I would like something that has some color and stands out.

Go with a school of Silver Dollars and a pleco or small catfish, the SD's will make the O more active

So it has come down to a Geophagus Jurupai or a firemouth.

I hear geaophagu jurupai are fun to watch but I like the way the firemouth looks.

Which one?
