Hi All

Have a 60" x 20" x 16" - 80 gallon tank and was thinking of getting 6 x 2" baby Black Belts. Was also thinking of getting 6 x 2" baby Green Terrors

When they mature planning to cut back to one pair of each species

Do you think that:
(a) the tank is big enough
(b) the species will co-exist okay
(c) suggestions for other tank mates

I do have a 72" x 18" x 18" with 6 baby Geophagus Rio Pindare, am aiming to keep all 6 with probably some other geophagus species

Cheers

Have a look on my thread which is in there about Tank mates for Black belts and my current stock , there is a few options there that go well with BB's

Also Black belta get aound a foot in lenght so you are going to have to get a tank about 6 foot in lengh to house a couple of them .

the green terrors will probaly not make it in a situation like that. Aquedins are not as tough as the veja. try an amphilophus species or chuoco species with the veja. The fish might decide who leaves be fore you as they can go ballistic at times. However a group of 6 should be able to balance themselves as no one fish will be able to single out another for constant attacking but once they pair off you should still keep something like convicts in there as dithers. A pair of BBs will look nice in that tank.
