Tank mates for Blue Rams?

I plan on buying a pair of Blue Rams. Any suggestions for tank mates? I like neon tetras, gold barbs and corys so far, but would like your opinion.

cardinal teras or neons great combo rams are slow eaters so they need peacefull tankmates that dont devore the food before they get a bite at it...keep the tetras in a min school of 6 reduces stress.

If you like Discus, they would work. Also altums or angels.
