i am currently breeding jewel cichlids, and my pair is one its second batch. i am in the process of setting up a 35 gallon as a grow out tank for the some 200 fry. i have noticed that in my 10 gallon, which houses 75 fry, which average a centimeter (almost half an inch) long, has an increible amount of algae and such. i don't want to scrub the tank, as i don't want to stress out the littl ones. so, my question is, what kind of INTERESTING VEGETERIAN fish could i put in a 35 gallon jewel fry grow out? thank in advance for any help.

ottos or some kind of pleco/s

ok. ottos arent plecos. u can buy siamese alfae eaters. if your going to your lfs ask them bout what fish they have to eat away algae.

a gourami doesn't sound too off. a paradise gourami is pretty tough and i think it would be able to take some aggression later on (not like a breeding jewel's though)

hmm if they are that small i guess u'd either have to chance it with something like a gourami or get a few ottos or something.
