Tank mates for Jacks

There are tons of fish that could coexist with Dempseys... Do you want the Dempseys to be the centerpiece? If so then they should be the Dominant fish in the tank.

giant danios, rainbows, cons, firemouths.. it all depends on if you want the jds to be the centerpiece like nc_nutcase said.. oh and the tank size like lizardking said

depends on what you want, in my tank i have 4 blood parrots 4 convicts, 1 royal blue texas, 1 pictus and the 2 JDs

Thanks everyone. It's a 55gal. But I've been thinking tonight, that I may trade them in for some more severums. And make it just a severum tank.

it's only a 55, so RD's are not an option...personally I like smaller fish like convicts or Honduran red points.

i'd go with a firemouth and convict.
it's a small tank so their isn't much space to work with.
maybe even do a JD pair tank!
