MFK I need some advice. I have a 300g 8x2x2.5.. Currently I have 3 Ornatus at about 4" and a albino tiger oscar a little over a foot. I'm going to be getting 5-7 Festae to grow out and hopefully get a pair to leave in the 300g.. In the long run I hope to have a pair of ornatus and a pair of festae with couple plecos and a couple other randoms in the tank. What should be my other randoms?

So far iv'e only heard Grammodes, would a school of vieja work? Lets get a long list !!! :naughty: all fish included.. Loaches plecos Etc...

You will have a lot of options w/ a 300g. A silver aro would be cool and some syns.

A lot of options after having pair of ornatus and pair of festae? If I have a lot of options can you name a few more my friend :)

I like that vieja synspilum idea though, how many of those would you recommend on top of the ornatum and festae pair..

I have a pair of Festaes, 2 Ornatums, a pair of Escondidos, 1 Atromaculatum, 3 thin belt red hooks, and two catfish in a 360 gallon tank. I raise them up together.

That's a cool group :) do your pairs have babies, and if so how bad does the aggression get. So far I really like the Vieja idea and the Escondidos.

How about 2 festae, 2 ornatum, 2 vieja, 2 esondidos, and some plecos and always taking out and putting in some festae growouts.. Hopefully they all dont become pair then there would be way to much aggression I would think ?

The pair of Escondidos have had fry before, the aggression increase a little but not to the point where I lost a fish or had to move any. I have a male an female Festae, but they haven't become a pair yet, so I am probably fortunate so far that they haven't because they would probably be more aggressive then the pair of Econdidos. I have two Ornatums, but I am not sure what their sex is... One of them controls the two Festaes, although not to the point where there is a problem, but I notice that he is in charge when he wants to be... Overall I have be fortunate, everybody gets along, no problems at all :)
