Going to be getting 2-3 small Pbass soon and was wondering what could be kept with them that wont be too agressive or end up a snack.
I was originally thinking Dovii/Jaguar Cichlid but heard that they are mean as hell:screwy: and should be kept alone. What about Oscars or J.D.'s?

You want something that is relatively docile and also keeps up with their growth rate (about 1"/month). You could go with an arrowana, rays, catfish and stuff along those lines.

Oscars might be okay but JD are a no go. They get mean and also end up being too small for peacocks

Cool, I also meant to add Arrowana's to my list, definitely getting one of those!

will temporarily go in a 75 for about 2-3 months then upgraded to either a 185 or 240.

How about other types of PB?;)

I agree a species tank of Pbass is awesome but you may also want to try some silver dollars as dither fish if you are just looking for action

It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and risk....

Fish that get large and robust are generally good tankmates. They must be quite docile as well...and of course....they must not be able to fit in the pbass mouth.
